But with the evolving trend of microblading technique, getting the eyebrows you desire has become easier and simply a faster technique. Most of the parlours offer this treatment to help you get your eyebrow issues sorted. But before getting yourself this, let us go through some of the frequently asked questions about microblading:
What Is Microblading?
Microblading is a semi-permanent procedure for your eyebrows, which is almost similar to tattooing where they will perform this with the help of a specialized, handheld tool to create the appearance of hair strokes on the brow line. This is done so that these hair strokes imitate real eyebrow hairs, creating the appearance of thicker, fuller brows. Although this procedure is categorized under permanent makeup, unlike traditional cosmetic tattooing, it is less invasive and is considered semi-permanent. Microblading can dramatically correct or fully reconstruct lost eyebrow and is excellent for those wanting to enhance their brows or who have little to no eyebrows, thinning brows from age or over-tweezed brows.
How Long Is The Procedure?
For the first Microblading session, the entire procedure is known to usually take about 2.5-3 hours. During this session, the brow technician will shape and style the client’s brows. After this, there is a process of selection of the pigment colour. And once the client is satisfied with the choices, the procedure is begun by the respective brow specialist.
The client is then informed to come in for a follow-up visit in order to have any minor or necessary touch ups. And during the second microblading session which usually takes place after 4-6 weeks after the initial session, the entire session is considered to approximately take u to 1.5-2 hours to complete.
How Long Is The Healing Duration?
Your eyebrow area will be slightly red after the procedure and the colour will appear very darker than the natural colour. This is a normal procedure and is considered as a part of the healing process. The colour will then gradually fade as it heals. In the following days, the eyebrows will continue to be dark and you will notice slight scabbing. Make sure that you do not pick at the scabs as this may damage the skin and the outcome of the micro bladed area. The eyebrows will slowly lighten up in colour as it heals. You will soon notice the true colour of your eyebrows once it’s completely healed.
Is it Painful?
The pain level for the procedure is considered mild to none. Prior to the procedure, your brow technician will apply a topical anaesthetic to numb the area, and it is also reapplied during the procedure if needed. Although, everyone responds differently to the anaesthetic, the feeling of the procedure has been described as light cat scratches to not feeling anything. Although some of the procedures in Semi-permanent makeup can be a risky option for pregnant women, they can opt for lash lifting or other procedures that won’t react differently towards such exposure.
