Semi-Permanent Makeup
Semi-permanent makeup consists of different treatments used to enhance your eyes, brows, and lips and highlight the overall appearance and appeal of your face. In these treatments, we insert pigments into the skin’s superficial layers after applying anesthetic creams to numb the area prior to treatment.
As the pigments only penetrate the uppermost layer of the skin, the hue fades with time. With these treatments, you can get your favorite style of makeup for an extended period of time without having to bear the long-term effects of a permanent lip tattoo. With this treatment, you can skip your everyday makeup.
Some of the available semi-permanent makeup treatments include eyeliner and eyelash enhancement, eyebrow semi-permanent makeup, and lip blush treatments.
Lip Blush Treatment
Otherwise known as a lip tattoo, it is an aesthetic treatment that enhances your lips by giving it a suitable tint. It is not like the traditional permanent makeup, which uses artificial pigments to provide a noticeable finish. Instead, our semi-permanent lip blush uses organic pigments and modern digital tools to obtain the desired outcome. The tint obtained blends nicely with your existing lip color to give it a natural finish.
Unlike permanent makeup, semi-permanent makeup fades away with time and does not cause any side effects. The semi-permanent lip lush enhances the natural shape of your lip, making it appear fuller and rosy. The lips also appear more voluminous without the use of any fillers. The organic pigments are available in different shades, and you can choose the shade you want to pick for your lips.
We personally recommend opting for a light tint initially so that it mimics your natural lip color. However, our technicians can tailor the results according to your desire and needs.
Procedure
The step-by-step procedure for the entire treatment is as follows:
- The lip artist will first apply a numbing cream so that you do not feel any discomfort when the pigment is used.
- Once the lip is numb, the artist will shade the lip and simultaneously select the shape and color.
- The skin of the lip is highly sensitive, so you may notice some swelling after the treatment. This swelling will fade and disappear within three to five days.
- The procedure takes between one to two hours, and the color density is at its peak right after the treatment. You will notice that the color fades with time and will settle to the expected color within a few days.
Some people may notice the appearance of cold sores after a few days following the treatment. People who are prone to cold sores must seek treatment two to three days before the lip blush procedure is completed.
A lip blush treatment usually lasts up to two years; however, you may notice the color fade over time. You can always get a touch up once a month to enhance your pout. If you have second thoughts about the color or if you are not satisfied, we can always adjust the color to your preferences after the healing process.
