Steps

Every treatment at BROWZ begins with a complimentary consultation. This allows us to understand your specific skin concerns and goals so we can tailor a plan that suits you perfectly.

 

To gain deeper insight into your skin’s condition, we use the Aura 3D Skin Analyser. This advanced technology looks beneath the surface to assess hydration, pigmentation, texture, and pore visibility. With this detailed analysis, our specialists can design a treatment plan that’s fully personalised to your needs.

Before starting PRP treatment, the specialist carefully cleans and disinfects the targeted area, whether it’s the scalp, face, or another part of the body. To ensure a comfortable experience, a topical numbing cream may be applied for 15 to 20 minutes, reducing any potential discomfort during the procedure.

Blood for PRP treatments is usually drawn from the individual’s arm. To ensure a comfortable session, our trained specialists cleanse the skin and apply a topical anaesthetic to the injection site, allowing around 30 minutes for the numbing to take effect. Depending on the scope of the treatment, approximately 10-60 millilitres of blood is collected.

 

The collected blood is then placed in a centrifuge, a machine that spins rapidly to separate its components based on density.

In about 10 minutes, the blood separates into three distinct layers: platelet-rich plasma, platelet-poor plasma, and red blood cells. Using a syringe, the specialist carefully collects the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) for use in the treatment.

Our trained specialists inject PRP into targeted or damaged areas of your scalp or skin. To boost the effects, we will use a microneedling tool to ensure PRP is absorbed deep into the skin.

  • Avoid touching, rubbing, or scratching treated area
  • Do not apply cosmetics or products to the treated area for the first 48 hours. This includes makeup, shampoo, and skincare.
  • Avoid direct sun or heat exposure for at least 2 days. This includes tanning beds, saunas, steam rooms, and hot tools like flat or curling irons.
  • Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 50 daily to protect the treated area and prevent pigmentation.
  • Refrain from intense physical activity or from excessively sweating for 48 hours
  • Avoid alcohol, caffeine, smoking, or taking blood-thinning medication like aspirin.
  • Refrain from sleeping on the treated area for the first 2 nights.
  • Resume and follow a gentle skincare routine after 2 days, using mild cleanser and moisturiser to keep treated area fresh and hydrated.
  • Avoid exfoliants or products containing retinoids, or acids for at least 1 week.
