Brow Shaping Guidelines: 3 Essential Steps That Can Help You Achieve That Sharp and Tailored Look

thumbnail preview

Eyebrow shaping is an essential beauty regime that most of us do to get our eyebrows defined. While eyebrow shaping can seem very basic, there are different steps to keep in mind to achieve perfectly shaped brows that can uplift your natural features and define your face.

Different people have different facial structures, and this means that you cannot use a one-size-fits-all strategy while shaping your eyebrows. Instead, you have to pay attention to the anatomical structure of your face and natural eyebrows before finalizing a match. Facial morphology is an important factor in eyebrow shaping and based on this, you can opt for high arched, low arched, s-shapes, rounded, or straight eyebrow shaping.

Several anatomical markers are commonly used in the process of face mapping. The eyebrow has four parts, including the head, body arch, and tail. The eyebrow artists at BROWZ understand the importance of these markers and work with these markers to provide you with a unique shape that matches your distinct facial characteristics.

The Steps in Eyebrow Grooming

Start point: While shaping your eyebrows make sure to start at the inner corner of the eyes. This will give you a definite start point to accurately fill in the brows with an eyebrow pencil.

Shaping the arch: The next point of focus is the eyebrow arch, as it is an important part of the brow that can help you promote the eyebrow shape.

Start by placing the eyebrow pencil on the tip of the nose and skillfully move it to the spot on your brow situated right above the pupil of the eye. This is the peak of the arch and the part you should highlight to get the exact look you desire. You can highlight the middle of the arch when looking for a medium arch, or otherwise the far side of the pupil if you want to achieve a high arch.

Endpoint: Lastly, place the eyebrow pencil on the outer side of the nose and the other at the point at the corner of the eye to determine the endpoint of the brow. You can finish off by slightly filling in the area to complete the final look.

Unwanted tweezing and eyebrow hair removal can drastically affect the growth cycle of the eyebrow hair. Furthermore, it will also hinder regrowth and negatively impact the direction of growth. Due to these reasons, it is best to get your eyebrows shaped by a professional who is aware of the procedures to follow while shaping or grooming eyebrow hair.
