Few Aftercare Advice Post Semi-permanent Makeup

thumbnail preview

You can now embrace your new look in the mirror after the semi-permanent makeup, which will shock you because of its perfection and naturality. You are now looking at a face that you’ve always wanted. And now that the main procedure is done, you can now flaunt your perfect face and walk in confidence.

But is that all? No.

Now that the semi-permanent makeup procedure is done, you have to make sure to treat it with extreme care and protection for the next couple of weeks. Every procedure once completed will have to be taken care of in order to retain its freshness. Similarly, your face will need its pampering and nourishing to maintain its natural glow.

The skin of your face is sensitive and so you will need to follow a few necessary tips to take care of it. While most of them are general tips, it is still better to keep them handy, in order to know your routine for at least the next couple of weeks.

For your eyebrows:
As soon as you’re done with the microblading procedure, you will be provided with moist cotton to clean the new tattoo area which has to be wiped every hour for the whole day to avoid lymph drainage. If you don’t do this constantly, the lymph drainage will turn to scab and cause the loss of colour in your eyebrows. So make sure you do this repeatedly, for the first day.

Once you go home, use mild soap and filtered water on your face, circulating it with your fingertips to clean your brows and then gently washing it off. You can repeat this for maybe four times during the day and allowing it to dry naturally.

Your eyebrows may become itchy in the beginning once this is done, but refrain from picking on it, though you may feel tempted to. If you pick or touch the area constantly it will result in scarring and pigment loss which you don’t want happening. You can try using a balm or a restoring product to calm and cool your face if you’re facing dryness or itchiness.

If you feel like your brows are itching way too much, don’t worry, it is a natural process of healing. Your eyebrows may look dark and patchy, but this is a usual process and will gradually fade, making it retain its natural colour.

For your lashes:
After the lash lifting, your eyes may feel sore so don’t get the treatment done if you’re heading somewhere straight away. They need to be kept dry for about 48 hours, just like your eyebrows.

For your lips:
You will experience tenderness in your lips after the session, but it’s normal. Make sure you refrain from touching the lips and apply an antiseptic cream.

Avoid using creams, oils, petroleum jelly or any cosmetics on the treated area until it is completely healed.

After the first day, make sure you always apply roll-up sunscreen of 50 SPF before stepping out in the sun. Also, it is best adviced to not go for any additional treatments until everything is completely healed.

You should make sure to follow these basic tips after semi-permanent makeup in order to stop causing further damage to your face. If you’re looking forward to more beauty services, book an appointment with BROWZ today.
